Process of cooking spaghetti in a different way

Firstly boil water in a large pan. Now add a little salt to the boiling
water. Now add the raw pasta to the boiling water and cook it for around
eight to ten minutes. Then drain off all the water in the pan and keep the
pasta aside.

Now keep the oven for preheating up to 350 degree centigrade.

Now boil the brown ground beef on a medium flame. Next drain off all the
water from the pan and crush/ crumble the beef. Put the crushed beef into
the skillet again.

Add a little amount of salt, garlic powder and pepper to the skillet. Mix
it thoroughly. Now add pasta sauce to the skillet and mix it properly.
Boil the mixture for five minutes. Now reduce the flame and let it cook
for around twenty minutes.

Now mix the sour cream, cream cheese and onions in a little bowl. Keep
this to a side for some time.

Now take a nine into thirteen inches baking dish. Coat it properly with
cooking spray. Now put into it the cooked spaghetti.

Now spread the mixture (cream cheese) over the pasta. Now add to it the
mixture of meat and then sprinkle the cheddar cheese completely over the
dish.

Bake for 25 minutes and serve hot.

Grape Squash As Indian Recipes

Preparation time: 20 Minutes

Cooking time : 10 minutes
serves : 20-25
Ingredients:

1 kg grape juice from green or black grapes.

750-900 gm sugar, or to taste 1 cup water.

1 cup lemon juice or2 tsp citric acid.

A pinch of sodium benzoate preservative .
Method

1. Wash and dry the grapes. Use a blender to extract grape juice and
strain it.

2. Boil the sugar and water to make syrup of 1 - thread consistency, add
the grape juice and the lemon juice or citric acid and the sodium
benzoate.

3. Keep in the sun for 3- 4 days.

4. Pour into dry clean bottles with tight corks.

For Mango, Pomegranate or Orange Squash

The recipe is the same as the Grape Squash. The only difference is that
the fruit juice has to be boiled with the syrup for 5 minutes. Add
preservative and store in airtight bottles. For mango squash, add a pinch
of potassium metabisulphite for each bottle. For pomegranate squash, add a
pinch of sodium benzoate for each bottle. For orange squash add a pinch of
potassium metabisulphite for each bottle.

How to Make Old Fashion Biscuits and Yeast Rolls using Grandma's Recipes

There's just nothing like Grandma's Old Fashion Yeast Rolls and Biscuits.
They are not hard to make, yes, even you can do it. Try this recipe for
very easy Sweet Cream Biscuits used by many grandmothers years ago and
they are delicious. The Cornmeal Biscuits recipe is from an old childhood
friend's grandmother and is an interesting combination of flour and
cornmeal. The Homemade Yeast Rolls recipe is from my mother-in-law.

SWEET CREAM BISCUITS

2 cups sifted flour
1 cup sweet cream
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp butter
2 tsp baking powder

Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Cut in
the butter. Add cream and mix quickly. Roll out dough on floured surface
and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes.

CORNMEAL BISCUITS

This recipe is from an old childhood friend.

2/3 cup yellow corn meal
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup shortening

Soak cornmeal in milk for 10 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and
sugar. Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles dry corn meal.
Add the cornmeal mixture and blend all together. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto
a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes until
lightly browned.

GRANDMA WILSON'S HOMEMADE YEAST ROLLS

This recipe is from my mother-in-law.

2 cups warm water (not hot)
2 pkgs dry yeast
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup soft or liquid shortening
1 egg, beaten
6 1/2 to 7 cups flour

Put warm water in a mixing bowl and add yeast, sugar, salt, and egg; mix
well. Add 4 cups of flour and mix with a large spoon. Gradually add
remaining flour and mix by hand till mixture is neither sticky or dry.
Cover with a clean dish cloth and allow to rise until double in size.
Punch down the dough and make into rolls about 1 1/2-inches in diameter.
Allow dough to rise again. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 15 to
20 minutes.

Roll the cookie dough into small balls and roll balls in the cinnamon
sugar mixture. Bake at 400 degrees on a ungreased cookie sheet for 8 to 10
minutes.

BUTTER DROP COOKIES

COOKIES:

1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp milk
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder

FROSTING:

1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
1 lb (4 cups) powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheets and set aside.

To make cookies:

In a medium mixing bowl at medium speed of electric mixer, cream together
shortening, sugar, and milk until well blended. Beat in the vanilla
extract and egg.
Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder into the creamed mixture. Drop by
tablespoon onto the baking sheets arranging about 2-inches apart. Bake at
375 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges.
Let cool about 1 minute on cookie sheet then remove to wire racks to cool
completely before frosting or decorating.

To make frosting:

Combine shortening, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract in a small
mixing bowl. Beat at low speed of an electric mixer for about 15 seconds.
Scrape down bowl and beat at high speed for 2 minutes or until smooth and
creamy.

CRUNCHY TILAPIA STRIPS

1 lb tilapia, cut into 1 1/2-inch strips
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup crushed corn flakes cereal
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
fresh ground black pepper
1/4 tsp salt

Spray a foiled-lined baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and set
aside. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Pour milk into a small shallow bowl. In another small shallow bowl,
combine the corn flakes, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and
salt. Dip tilapia strips into the milk then dredge in the cornflake
mixture to coat. Lay on the prepared baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees
for 10 to 12 minutes or until fish is cooked through.

HOMEMADE PARMESAN POTATO CHIPS

3 OR 4 small baking potatoes
2 tsp margarine, melted
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Dash of black pepper

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Scrub potatoes and slice in thin slices. You should have about 2 cups of
sliced potatoes. Arrange slices in a thin layer in a lightly greased 15 x
10-inch baking pan. Brush with the melted margarine. Sprinkle the cheese
and pepper over potato slices. Bake, uncovered, in a 450 degree oven for
18 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are brown and crisp.

BIBB LETTUCE AND HOMEMADE DRESSING

Note: This recipe serves 8. The two above recipes serve 4. If you are
making a meal for 4, cut this recipe in half.

1 cup mayonnaise
1 carton (8-oz) dairy sour cream
2 green onions, chopped
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp Italian seasoning
3/4 tsp celery salt
3/4 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
4 small heads Bibb lettuce
Milk, if needed

To make dressing: In a small mixing bowl, combine salad dressing or
mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, vinegar, sugar, Italian seasoning, celery
salt, dry mustard, garlic, and pepper. Using a wire whisk or rotary
beater, mix until smooth. Transfer dressing to a container with a lid,
cover and chill until serving time. Just before serving, cut each lettuce
head in half lengthwise. Arrange halves on a serving platter. If desired,
arrange some tiny tomatoes on the plate as a garnish. If dressing is too
thick, add a small amount of milk until of desired consistency. Pour
dressing over the salad.

Old Fashion Recipes for Vegetable Casseroles: Cabbage Casserole, Okra Casserole, Broccoli Casserole

Enjoy some old-fashion vegetable casseroles on your dinner table. They
are also perfect for pitch-in meals, potlucks, reunions, picnics, etc.
For your next occasion choose from Cabbage Casserole, Okra Casserole, or
My Favorite Broccoli Casserole. These recipes are from my early years in
Southern Indiana. The Broccoli Rice Casserole is especially good; it will
always get good comments when shared with others at any occasion.

CABBAGE CASSEROLE

This recipe is from an old rural newsletter.

1 med head cabbage
1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
1 tbsp onion flakes
1 cup dry bread crumbs
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Chop and cook cabbage until tender. Drain. Meanwhile, crumble and fry
sausage until browned Drain fat off the sausage. Beat eggs and add milk.
Mix onion flakes and bread crumbsinto the egg mixture. Add salt and pepper
to suit your taste. Pour into a greased baking dish or pan and bake at 350
degrees for 25 minutes.

OKRA CASSEROLE

This recipe is from a lady who lived in the small rural community where I
attended school.

1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/3 cup margarine
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cup chopped tomatoes
1 1/4 cups sliced okra
4 slices American cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a casserole dish. Set aside.

In a 10-inch skillet, melt the margarine; saute onion and bell pepper
until crisp tender. Stir the flour, salt, and pepper into the skillet
mixture; blend well. Add the tomatoes and okra; stir to blend well. Spoon
mixture into the prepared casserole dish. Top with the cheese. Bake at 350
degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

MY FAVORITE BROCCOLI RICE CASSEROLE

This is the broccoli casserole that has been popular in my family for
many, many years.

1/2 stick oleo, use part to grease 2-qt baking dish
1 small onion, chopped
1 square box frozen chopped broccoli
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2-in square of Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup minute rice, cooked according to pkg directions

Bake at 375 degrees.

Melt oleo in pan, add chopped onion. Cook over low heat until onion is
transparent. Add the broccoli and continue to cook just until broccoli is
separated. Add soup and cheese; mix well. Add the minute rice. Mix well
and pour into the prepared baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 20
minutes.

Note: This casserole can be made up to a day ahead, refrigerate before
baking then add 5 to 10 minutes to the baking time.

There are many guitar lessons available on the internet for free. Acoustic
guitar lessons often focus on fingering open chords or demonstrate
strumming patterns but today I will focus on the right hand technique for
acoustic guitar playing. The electric guitar player has a range of
electronic effects to help him express his feelings and musical ideas but
the acoustic guitar player has only his right hand.

So, departing from the focus of most free acoustic guitar lessons, we will
look at a few ways of working with the right hand to allow it to become
more expressive and to give you more control over your picking and
strumming. First, I should mention something that if you are new to the
acoustic guitar, you might not know about: if you try to play fast, you
will almost certainly lose volume.

This loss of volume needs to be compensated for if you really feel that
you need that extra bit of speed. To add volume to fast passages, you must
add force to your picking or strumming. This does not necessarily mean
that you need to tense your right arm. You could slow down your playing
and focus on accuracy. You watch how you pick or strum and make sure that
your playing is a series of movements that go from one to the other
without hesitation and without having to close your eyes and hope you hit
the right strings. If you feel any moments where your hand is unsure where
to go, you need to look closely at how you are playing and at what point
you are losing track of what you are doing.

The one thing I want to get across in this free acoustic guitar lesson is
that crosspicking is an ideal way to give your right hand more confidence.
You practice slowly, of course, until your hand and are able to move
between strings without hesitation. Keep your wrist loose as you practice.
This should be a rule except when you are playing a series of rapid up and
down movements like fast strumming or a single string tremolo passage.

Crosspicking involves moving smoothly and rapidly between strings, so if
you become proficient at this picking technique your playing style will
become more adaptable and free of tension.

Before you go off looking for another free acoustic guitar lesson,
remember that whether you are playing single note melodies or strumming
chords, the beginner acoustic guitar player needs to listen for the
telltale scraping that shows he is not holding the pick at the correct
angle to the strings. Hold your pick at a right angle to the string so
that it picks the string without scraping.
